Ederson ruled out of Liverpool clash due to injury

Manchester City will be without their first-choice ‘keeper for Sunday’s crucial clash against Liverpool after manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Ederson will miss the contest due to injury.

“He’s not able to play,” Guardiola told reporters, according to the Guardian “I don’t know (when he’ll be back). We have another top keeper. Claudio Bravo can do it (play out from the back) too. We won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup thanks to Claudio.”

Ederson suffered a muscular injury during City’s 1-1 draw with Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday.

More to come.
