Icardi continues hot streak as PSG top Brugge to secure last-16 spot

Paris Saint-Germain booked a spot in the Champions League knockout phase for the eighth season on the spin after beating Club Brugge 1-0 on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes.

Mauro Icardi boosted his PSG tally to eight goals in nine courtesy of a close-ranged finish in the 22nd minute and Keylor Navas secured the result when he saved Mbaye Diagne’s penalty with a quarter of an hour left on the clock.

Thomas Tuchel’s charges maintain top spot in Group H with a perfect 12 points with two matches to play. Real Madrid sit second on seven points after battering Galatasaray 6-0 in the Spanish capital.

More to come.
