Lewandowski scores 40th goal to equal Bundesliga single-season scoring record

Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski scored his 40th goal of the season Saturday, matching the revered Bundesliga record that iconic German striker Gerd Muller held since the early 1970s.

The Polish superstar equaled the single-season scoring record with a penalty conversion in the first half of Bayern’s penultimate match of the season against Freiburg.
