Manchester United on cusp of Europa League final after trouncing Roma

Manchester United are within touching distance of the Europa League final following Thursday’s stellar second-half performance against Roma.

The English side was 2-1 down at the interval but roared back with an Edinson Cavani brace, Bruno Fernandes penalty, Paul Pogba header, and a run and finish from Mason Greenwood to take a resounding 6-2 victory from the first leg at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is therefore on course to end his dire record of falling short in four consecutive cup semifinals as United manager.

More to come.
